The modern skiing areas around Lake Faak guarantee optimal piste conditions for beginners and pros alike. Ski slopes of all levels of difficulty, state-of-the-art cable cars and lifts, as well as cosy huts where you can get together.

Gerlitzen Alpe Ski Area

With its 40 kilometres of pistes and 15 kilometres of natural routes, Gerlitzen is one of the most popular ski areas in the region. The ski area also has a Kids Fun Park, 20 comfortable lifts and over 3,000 free parking spaces.

Skiing usually starts in December and ends in April. Early risers can use the cable cars as early as 08:15. The ski school on the Gerlitzen Alpe offers an extensive range of courses for professionals, newcomers and returning skiers. You can find the current price list here: Price list Gerlitzen Alpe 

 

Skiing area Dreiländereck 

At the border triangle, Austria, Italy and Slovenia unite three countries with their different languages and cultures. The ski area is family-friendly and offers 8 ski lifts at different altitudes as well as 17 kilometres of prepared slopes. 62 snow cannons ensure snow reliability, 4 ski huts guarantee the physical well-being of the skiers.

The ski season depends on the weather conditions and usually starts in December and ends at the end of March. The lifts open at 08:30 in the morning and are then in operation until 16:00. Free ski bus from Lake Faak

A bus takes you directly from Lake Faak to the skiing areas Gerlitzen Alpe and Dreiländereck and back again free of charge. You can leave your car at your accommodation and enjoy a relaxed day of skiing. You can also enjoy a glass or two of mulled wine at the ski hut.

The shuttle runs daily from the end of January to the beginning of March and can be booked the evening before until 18:00. We will be happy to do this for you on request. You can find the current timetable including stops here: Timetable Winter Ski Bus
